P40 Journeys:
Fly Fishing

Waist Deep Fishing

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Psalm 40:1-3

What is P40?

P40 is one of our newest ministires. The P40 program was created to establish and cultivate a relationship not only with attendees who share an interest in the outdoors and fishing,  but with the Lord, by learning a new hobby and appreciating His Creation. Our goal is to offer several different outdoor "journeys" such as fly fishing, archery, camping, and kayaking/canoeing.  P40 Journeys launched with fly fishing and is the current journey we're on.

What does P40 stand for?

P40 is a reference to Psalm 40. In this passage, David speaks of how God was faithful to him during a dark time. God was faithful to David because David relied on and stayed faithful to God, even during trials and dark times. P40 Journeys is focused on building relationships within our church and community to help us during trials and dark times through outdoor activities and hobbies that focus on God's Creation and the calm and joy immersing ourselves in it can bring.

Who is P40 for?

P40 is not limited to any one demographic.  We welcome the young and the young at heart, males and females, member and non-member. All you need is an interest in the outdoors and a desire to spend more time out in it.  Whether you're new to outdoor hobbies or a seasoned pro,  a life long Christian or curious who God is, we would love to have you join us.

Do I need my own gear?

Much like all our other ministries, P40 is
"come as you are".  You do not need any expertise or equipment to participate, we are just glad to have you join us.
