Incarnational Prayer Service

Written by Dara Gravatt

This October we are holding our first service of Incarnational Prayer . We long to create

a space where we remember that Jesus is Emmanuel, “God with us”…that He is the

God who is near, and yearns to share life with us intimately. This service will provide a

space of intentional quiet where we seek God, invite Him in, and ask to hear from Him

through His Word-- all from a posture of wonder and awe.

There are many types of prayer, and various acronyms people use to describe their time

talking with God. For our Incarnational Prayer service we will use this:

P repare our hearts to receive Him and His Word with wonder and awe

R ead and meditate on Psalms & Scriptures, learning about who He is and who we are

A sk God to show us what His will is for us, what He asks of us in this moment

Y ield our ideas and desires, allowing Him to transform our hearts and lives

This special time of prayer will be held on the THIRD FRIDAY of each month at 6:30 p.m. , and is best suited for college-aged students and up. Childcare will be provided!
